Most of the time, heading out the door with a camera, solely intent on taking photographs, results in nothing more than lackluster shots of the mundane. However, every now and again, these seemingly mundane outings turn out to be well worth their minutes.
Last Sunday was one of these times. I set my alarm clock for a quarter to 6, and was on my bike within the hour. I was dead set on capturing the Ben Franklin Bridge during sunrise. I barely made it in time to catch the sky waking up, so I didn't get the sunrise shots I had been hoping for. I did manage to spend the golden hour chasing the sun around Philadelphia, and I definitely feel that every second was worth it.
